Yield (2021)
A movement work drilling the tension between machinic aspiration and soiled coordination. Beginning on freshly raked dirt, performers enact a series of movements imprinting and keeping time on the Rutgers Round House floor. Drawing inspiration from agricultural machinery, Gilbreth motion studies, and athletic conditioning, dancers play-act the grounds keeping of a collective engine.
